Why Should High Purity Lead Sheet Be Used?
The Specific Gravity of Lead is 11.34 gr/cm3, and the Metals It Is Alloyed With; Excessive presence of other metals such as tin 7.3 g/cm3, calcium 1.55 g/cm3, antimony 6.697 g/cm3 will reduce the density of lead. The Use of Pure Lead Allows You to Keep the Lead Thickness Constant to be Used in Radiation Armoring. When making armoring calculations, calculations are made according to the specific gravity suitable for pure lead (PB: 11.34 gr / cm3). Using Standard Thickness for Impure Leads Will Not Ensure Leakproofing.
